Based on an original idea from 1981, the Wire Coffee Table carries the same structure and sculptural lightness that are synonymous with Panton’s visual language. Taking the standard seat height of contemporary sofas into consideration, the table sits at the ideal height for it to be integrated into lounge settings.

The glass table top which is designed to rest on the concentric contours of the Wire Coffee Table enhances the functionality of the design, transforming it into a convenient surface for resting a book or beverage when the need arises.

Dimensions: Base: 74cm Ø x 36cm H
Glass Top: 69cm Ø x 0.5cm H

Materials: Mirror polished steel and tempered low iron glass
The stool is made of stainless steel wire that is bent into circles and spot welded together. The glass top is tempered glass that is cut into round shape.

Verner Panton (1926 – 1998) is known worldwide for his avant-garde work and prolific experimentation with materials, shapes, and most importantly – colour. Throughout his career, he would advocate that colour had both a central meaning and function in design and that it should be used as a tool to enhance everyday life.
