The String® System Rods are created to optimize a shelving combination and fit together with metal shelves. The rods are available in the following widths: 24cm, 53cm, and 72cm. 53cm and72 cm rods must be mounted along the width of the shelf, whereas the 24cm wide rod can be mounted along the width or depth of 30 cm deep shelves. The rods increase functionality and makes it possible for even more creative storage solutions. They are the optimal accessory for your hallway or wardrobe shelf since they make is possible to add coat-hangers from String® System. It is also a great spot to hang scarves, shawls or why not the dog leash.
Each pack contains one rod.

String System is a series of components featuring wire panels that offer almost unlimited combinations. The system is a multi-award winning design which has now become a design classic.
Over time, additional product groups have seen the light of day and String has kindly made room in the product portfolio for Works and Museum. Museum came to life on completely different terms. Architect studio TAF, Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom, was commissioned by the Swedish Nationalmuseum to design a console shelf for the museums bust collection as part of the artistic collaboration NM&.

About the Designer: Nisse & Kajsa Strinning
Kajsa and Nisse Strinning were a young architect couple in Stockholm when they won their first international design competition with String in 1949. Of course, String went on to become the String® System, and remains one of Sweden's most loved designs, as well as the world’s. Thanks to its elegant simplicity and ingenious construction, String® has earned a place in design history.
