String® System Folding Table

The String® System Folding Table can be folded up and down with ease due to its flexible construction. The folding table fits into 30 cm deep wire floor panels from String® System. When folded down the table melts into the shelf. The folding table is well suited for a smaller kitchen or other narrow spaces where a permanent table would be in the way. Maximize the usage and let the folding table act as your workspace during the day and dinner table at night.

Material Ash, Black Stained Ash, Oak and Walnut - Powder coated steel with gloss 30 and Veneered particleboard treated with a clear lacquer with gloss 5. Wood is a living material and can therefore naturally change its appearance over time, especially when the surface is exposed to direct sunlight.

White and Beige - Powder coated steel with gloss 30 and Lacquered MDF with gloss 35.

About the Brand: String Furniture

String System is a series of components featuring wire panels that offer almost unlimited combinations. The system is a multi-award winning design which has now become a design classic.

Over time, additional product groups have seen the light of day and String has kindly made room in the product portfolio for Works and Museum. Museum came to life on completely different terms. Architect studio TAF, Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom, was commissioned by the Swedish Nationalmuseum to design a console shelf for the museums bust collection as part of the artistic collaboration NM&.

About the Designer: Nisse & Kajsa Strinning

Kajsa and Nisse Strinning were a young architect couple in Stockholm when they won their first international design competition with String in 1949. Of course, String went on to become the String® System, and remains one of Sweden's most loved designs, as well as the world’s. Thanks to its elegant simplicity and ingenious construction, String® has earned a place in design history.
