Reminiscent of a planetary body in orbit, Mono is a sculptural and atmospheric lighting piece that exudes celestial elegance, glowing gently from within while casting an even, ambient light into its surroundings. The movable reflector can be positioned to direct light and this flexibility allows users to personalise both illumination and atmosphere with ease. A touch-sensitive Magic Stick allows effortless on, off and dimming control directly from the pendant. This innovative feature makes it easy to adjust brightness and create the ideal ambience for any occasion.

About the Brand: DCW Editions

DCW éditions is a french company, founded in 2008 by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler. They first produced the Lampe Gras, created in 1921 by the inventor Bernard-Albon Gras, first articulated lamp of the history, much lauded at the time by Le Corbusier.

2013 saw them bring out the Mantis lamps of British designer Bernard Schottlander. The Mantis were created in 1951 as an homage to Alexander Calder. DCW Éditions then released the singular Here Comes the Sun, designed by Bertrand Balas in 1970.

As the past is nothing without the future, DCW innovated by editing for instance In the Tube, specially designed by world renowned architect Dominique Perrault and his partner Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost.

About the Designer: Studio Vantot

VANTOT is the collective title for the works of Esther Jongsma and Sam van Gurp, who are united by an unstoppable drive to create and innovate. Literally translated from Dutch to mean ‘from to’, VANTOT focuses on the entire process, starting with a technique and ending with the product. The pair, Sam & Esther, strive to find new applications for innovations in everyday life, and it’s not only new-found technologies which have seized their interest. Serving as a guiding light in the duo’s work, antiquated techniques are put to good use in modern day outlets, mutually benefiting from today’s updated knowledge base.
