Flaneur 3 Seater Sofa

Flaneur 3 Seater Sofa

The Flaneur Sofa is a delicate balance of harmonious contrasts – precise shape and complete comfort, indulgent seat and modular flexibility, classic craftsmanship and modern convenience. Danish-Italian duo GamFratesi’s reimagining of the iconic 19th century English ‘roll-arm’ sofa is an exquisite marriage of the contemporary with the classic. The Flaneur Sofa’s low, generous proportions and rounded cushions reflect an Italian approach to comfort, while the overall simplicity, clarity of line and functionality are the essence of modern Scandinavian design. For absolute comfort and elegant shape, we recommend including Flaneur Cushions, available separately in three sizes.

GUBI is the global design house where timeless modern icons and the creative talents of today meet and mingle – a century of design brilliance in one daring, definitive, and ever-evolving collection.

Positioned at the point where the beauty of history meets the thrill of right now, GUBI is the creative force and curator behind the world’s most extraordinary design from the 20th century onwards. Whether diving into archives or driving the designs of today, GUBI is responsible for a timeless, inventive, and intercontinental collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects that merge function with meaning, enhancing every space.

As well as rediscovering and reintroducing lost treasures of design history for the present generation, GUBI collaborates with a hand-picked global roster of visionary design studios to create icons for tomorrow. Inspired by the past, always looking to the future, GUBI makes and shares stories that resonate with design lovers around the world, inspiring moments and memories to treasure.

GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). GamFratesi belongs to the latest generation of furniture architects and together they represent a new interpretation of the meeting between Danish and international design traditions.

“Our work is balancing between the traditional and surprising. Often it takes just a small detail to achieve or break an expression, and we are very curious about that.”
