Drawing reference from a plaster-based sculpture, the Faustine table light combines a Jesmonite base with an abaca fibre and linen-covered shade. The graphic silhouette of its faceted base is accentuated by fine recessed lines, seen repeated in the bronze metalwork frame of the shade. When illuminated, the fanned form of its shade gently diffuses light to highlight the simplistic yet striking silhouette below.

Materials:The Faustine shade has an abaca fibre outer and a linen lining. As a natural material, each length of plant fibre is unique and as such variations in colour will occur. The metalwork is dark bronze finished. The base is from man-made, water-based building composite, Jesmonite has excellent casting properties and can replicate very fine details. Jesmonite is lighter than stone or concrete, and with no VOCs it is non-invasive to work with, and kinder to the environment.
