The Crown Armchair is cleverly constructed, with a playful element to it. It’s backrests are perched on the armrests, seemingly unsupported but in fact relying on a strong, concealed steel joint. Crown’s distinct design gives it open transparent surfaces, and creates new expressions depending on its placement in the room. This comfortable chair suits just as well around the desk or conference table, as the dining table.

Massproductions is a Stockholm based furniture company, run by the English designer Chris Martin and the Swedish designer Magnus Elebäck. Massproductions develops high quality, tactile furniture in a modernist spirit. Chris Martin and Magnus Elebäck met in 1999 and have since worked side by side as consultants for the furniture industry.

The name of the company comes from the designers’ knowledge and passion in mass production. Their goal is to use industrial processes to create furniture which people can get excited about, something that gives them pride of ownership. The philosophy behind Massproductions is to harness the benefits, values and quality of volume production.
