Loux Level Fringes Rug

Loux Level Fringes is a handwoven pile rug with a luminous surface and sensual materiality, distinguished by an intricate hand-carved checkerboard relief and finished with decorative fringes. Crafted from lyocell and with 2.7 million single yarns per square metre secured into a woven base using the double-back technique, Loux Level Fringes offers a dense, luxuriously soft texture.

The refined surface pattern is achieved through skilled hand-carving, shaping the repeated tiles of 10 cm squares to create subtle variations in pile height. The border and fringes are constructed using the Sumak technique and hand-tied knotting — details that celebrate the series’ craft heritage.

Loux Level Fringes is offered in a palette of 12 colours inspired by the lustre of precious metals and stones, ranging from cool, pearlescent tones of porcelain, silver and oyster to deeper, rich tones of brass, cedar and onyx. The fringes can be dyed to match or contrast with the body of the rug. Designed for residential spaces with light to moderate use, Loux Level Fringes can be customised in pattern, size, shape and finishing details, offering understated elegance tailored to individual spaces.

Materials: 100% Lyocell 

Lyocell is a fibre produced from regenerated cellulose, a natural and renewable material typically derived from wood pulp. With its fine filament structure, lyocell’s softness resembles that of silk, while its durability ensures long-lasting beauty. Its exceptional light-reflecting quality gives textiles and rugs a distinctive lustre and dynamic surface. Lyocell absorbs and releases moisture quickly, helping regulate temperature and contributing to a comfortable interior climate.

The fibre is produced through a closed-loop system. Wood pulp is first dissolved using solvents, to create a viscous solution, which is then filtered and spun into fibres. These fibres are washed, dried and spun into yarn. More than 99% of the solvents are recovered and reused, minimising waste and conserving water.
