Looking to create a versatile piece that would adapt to its surroundings, design duo Hvidt & Mølgaard devised Drop Leaf in 1956. As the name suggests, this handsome table was built with a hinged section on each side that folds down from the fixed centre. Available in solid walnut or oak.

Materials:The table base and tabletop are made from milled solid wood and hinges and fittings are made from brass.
Made using FSC® certified wood.

About the Designer: Hvidt & Mølgaard

Renowned for the simplicity and craftsmanship of their designs, Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) met Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) at Kunsthåndværkerskolens Snedkerskole, where he began first as his student and later taught alongside him. The two formed an instant, close friendship, moving on to experience their first success as a design duo after entering and winning the 1943 Swedish Slöjdföreningen's competition.
