The 1956 Drawn chair by Hvidt & Mølgaard stands out as a definitive piece of Danish design. Built upon traditional craftsmanship techniques and made out of organic materials, it brings a sense of wholesome honesty to any space. Available in oiled oak, oiled walnut and black lacquered oak. It comes in two versions: a wider model with arm rests, or one without. Additionally, a cushion in either Prescott black or cognac coloured leather is offered for a softer seating experience.

Materials:The chair is made from turned and milled solid wood with a form-pressed backrest. The seat is hand-woven from more than 100 meter natural paper cord.

About the Designer: Hvidt & Mølgaard

Renowned for the simplicity and craftsmanship of their designs, Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) met Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) at Kunsthåndværkerskolens Snedkerskole, where he began first as his student and later taught alongside him. The two formed an instant, close friendship, moving on to experience their first success as a design duo after entering and winning the 1943 Swedish Slöjdföreningen's competition.
