GamFratesi’s Doric Coffee Table expands from Neutral White Travertine to Honey Amber and Stormy Grey marble, bringing new material character to the collection’s sculptural form. Rooted in the proportions and detailing of Classical Doric columns, the design balances monolithic presence with softened curves and edges. In Honey Amber, layered sand and blush-toned formations with warm yellow and honey-brown undertones create a rich, expressive surface, while Stormy Grey introduces a cooler, more graphic composition shaped by fractured veining and shifting grey tonalities. Formed through natural geological processes, each marble slab carries its own depth, movement, and mineral variation, ensuring that no two Doric Tables are ever exactly alike.

Travertine is a limestone that is formed by a precipitation of calcium carbonate, deposited around mineral springs. The travertine stone contains cavities and imprints of plant parts pitted holes may occur. Each travertine stone is unique, and the colours, pattern and veining will vary on each product.
Marble is a limestone that through pressure and heat has been recrystallised. During this process, various minerals enter the stone, which leads to a variety of colours, patterns and veining of the stone. This means that every piece of stone is unique, and the colours and veining will vary for each product.

About the Designer: GamFratesi

GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). GamFratesi belongs to the latest generation of furniture architects and together they represent a new interpretation of the meeting between Danish and international design traditions.
