Michele De Lucchi

Born in 1951 in Ferrara, Italy, is a renowned architect and designer known for his role in the radical design movements of the 1970s and 80s, including Studio Alchimia and the Memphis Group. He gained international acclaim for his collaboration with Artemide, most notably for co-designing the iconic Tolomeo lamp with Giancarlo Fassina in 1986, a product that earned the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award and remains a symbol of contemporary lighting design. His work with Artemide also includes other celebrated collections like Castore and Logico, blending technological innovation with timeless aesthetic appeal.
