Jonathan Muecke

Jonathan Muecke is an American designer and architect. He studied architecture at Iowa State University in Ames, graduating in 2006, before working for Herzog and de Meuron in Basel, Switzerland. He subsequently studied design at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he graduated in 2010. The recipient of several prestigious awards, including a USA Knight Fellowship, his works have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries worldwide. Mueck’s work navigates the space between art, design, and architecture, using innovative production techniques to create refined forms that showcase his meticulous attention to detail and proportion. Prioritizing space over object, the designer uses materiality and repetition to animate the surrounding.
