Twenty-Five Bergere Chair

Twenty-Five Bergere Chair

Twenty-Five Bergère Chair is a high-back chair with a solid wood shell wrapped around an invitingly soft upholstered seating area. The privacy chair reflects diverse influences including vernacular chairs such as Orkney chairs, and the work of Axel Einar Hjorth, Rudolph Schindler and Finn Juhl.

The timber back nods to barrel making, its curved form made from several components carved and joined. The generous use of solid wood creates a tactile tapestry of wood grain, while the carefully detailed upholstery on the inner face provides relaxed comfort. The wide armrests are carefully sculpted to invite the hands to explore, and also provide a solid grip to aid the user in rising from a seated position.

The chair is the perfect ‘cocoon’ in which to read a book, have a nap, or simply enjoy the moment, and pairs well with Twenty-Five Ottoman for even deeper relaxation.
