Extracting the essence of true craftsmanship, the Guild shelf was originally designed in 1954 for Peter Hvidt’s family home in Klampenborg. Subtly mirroring the curving paths of the property’s garden, the design’s pared-back, undulating form and uncompromised level of detail are defining features, resulting in a shelf of timeless appeal and exceptional composition. Available in two sizes and two finishes.

About the Designer: Hvidt & Mølgaard

Renowned for the simplicity and craftsmanship of their designs, Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) met Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) at Kunsthåndværkerskolens Snedkerskole, where he began first as his student and later taught alongside him. The two formed an instant, close friendship, moving on to experience their first success as a design duo after entering and winning the 1943 Swedish Slöjdföreningen's competition.
