Flat Pack Bed

The Flat Pack Bed. A simple bed base you can put together in minutes without tools. The mattress 'floats' on the minimal base – perfect if you've got a small room and need to maximise floor space. When the base is dismantled it can be carried by one person and will fit into lifts and most small cars. The long plywood beams provide constant tension and increase stability, so the joints won't degrade over time. The base sits 4cm inside the edge of the mattress reducing the chance of stubbing your toe on the bed. It's efficiently made by CNC routing and is finished by hand. This bed was awarded Best Product and Best Sustainable Product at the 2011 Interior Design Excellence Awards – Australia’s largest independent design awards program.
